About me

I am a Ph.D. research scientist by day, working on advanced biotechnologies for cancer research, gene therapy, cell therapy, and forensics. I have many hobbies including songwriting, hiking, kayaking, disc golf and gaming (not video gaming though unless you include Atari and Wii!). I have always enjoyed baseball and have researched old box scores for various baseball themed publications. Another one of my hobbies is playing sports games. I have performed contract work for sports game companies such as Replay and APBA, and have created many accessories for these games. I started creating games as a teenager, and have created a few new games over the past 25 years, which I intend to offer for download on this website. Now that my kids have grown, I decided to start this website to promote games developed by independent creators such as myself, and provide them for a nominal fee.

I am amazed at the recent creativity in the sports board game hobby, however I find that many sports games become long dice rolling fests that take an hour or more to finish. As I play these games, I lose interest about 15 minutes in. Therefore, one of my goals was to develop quick play games using dice and playing cards that are statistically accurate, and simple to learn and play. A design objective is minimizing the need to refer to multiple complex charts, and provide a more intuitive experience. As I grow this site, it will showcase many types of games and other content that I hope you find interesting. Check back frequently, as I intend to continually expand the content on this site.
